Mixing coffee and beer isn’t a new idea. I mean, “The Drew Carey Show” had Buzz Beer back in the 1990s. But that took place in the super-metropolis of Cleveland, Ohio. Now, a scant 20-plus years later, Elemental Coffee and Anthem Brewing have made their own special brown ale.

This event is free and open to the public with the new brown ale on tap and commemorative mugs for sale. It runs from 6-9 p.m. and there aren’t that many mugs, so get there early if you absolutely must have one.
Feeling ho-ho-hungry? Join Kris Kringle himself at Dominion House (602 E. College Ave., in Guthrie) from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.for a tasty breakfast and hot chocolate bar.

Finish the weekend in style with Picasso Cafe and The Other Room (3009 Paseo) as they partner with Stonecloud Brewing for the Tapas & Beer Pairing Weekend, 5-9 p.m. Sunday.
Stop into The Other Room in the Paseo district (starting Thursday) to enjoy any of five small plates paired with Stonecloud’s beers.
Pairings include: smoked tomato and chorizo steamed mussels with fries paired with Neon Sunshine Belgian Wit, cinnamon-and-coffee-spiced hanger steak with a port-stout-mushroom reduction and sweet potato fries with Turtlehead Coffee Imperial Stout, and more. Lush it up with the wine and cheese experts of En Croute (6460 Avondale Dr.) at A Toast to the Holidays: Bubbles for Breakfast at 6 p.m.
